Now, in a difficult situation, we have positioned Japan as an even more important market and decided to launch a new business company in Japan.
The new company is called SITC INTERMODAL JAPAN and belongs to SITC LOGISTICS GROUP. As the name implies, you will be engaged in intermodal work.

After 18 years of experience at SITC JAPAN and working at SITC Hong Kong, I became the president of the new company. The office will be located in SITC JAPAN for the time being, and we will strengthen cooperation with SITC JAPAN and SITC LOGISTICS JAPAN to provide strategic synergies to everyone.

In recent years, with the increasing size of container vessels, the homogenization of container marine transportation is becoming deeper. Moreover, the demand for intermodal is increasing both in quantity and quality as the world is caught up in the whirlwind of e-commerce. In order to overcome this competition, shipping companies must find customer needs more than ever and strive to realize new services. Our company not only transports by sea, but gathers the mobility of SITC group on both ends to deliver products smoothly and at low cost from producer to user.
The SITC COWIN coil container exclusive agent business, which is newly undertaken by the new company, is a business that can respond to the strong needs for import and export of steel coils in Japan through effective intermodal operations. Since January of this year, COWIN, which has become a member of SITC LOGISTICS, has many years of experience in coil transportation, and has been providing coil transportation services to Chinese and Korean steel manufacturers. It is highly valued for its high level of expertise, stability, and economic efficiency, and this time, we have been fully prepared to enter the Japanese market. We will strengthen the cooperation of the SITC Group with Japan’s strategic business partners, effectively utilize all management resources in Japan, and create new value.

SITC GROUP has continued to meet the needs of customers not only in marine transportation but also in logistics in the field of international comprehensive logistics. SITC INTERMODAL JAPAN was established at the time when this new change in container transportation was about to arrive. Focusing on the Japanese market, we will further strengthen our strategic relationship with you and provide new value to you as a comprehensive logistics supplier by utilizing the knowledge and know-how we have cultivated in Asia for nearly 30 years.
